HDMI wireless
video decoder
AX-TV.

AX-TV is a video decoder specially designed to be used at home or in offices, hotels, clinics, shops or business open to the public. A wireless device with no need for PC that permits to visualize on a HDMI television or monitor up to 16 video signals from cameras connected either on the local network or via Internet.

AX-TV can broadcast video streams from AXIS cameras or ONVIF compliant IP cameras (including encoders and views from 360-degree cameras) and in addition allows using one of its channels to display digital contents such as product demonstrations, promotional ads or corporate information

Operation

Its operation is as simple as connecting the device to the television by using its HDMI output, and connecting it to the local network by using the network cable or by WiFi. Once all connections are completed, you simply need to use the remote control to configure the desired view settings to show the cameras one by one or using 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 camera quads.

Its configuration and display on screen can be also managed via web browser from a PC or Android/Apple device and has an API for its integration in third party software.

Intelligent operation

AX-TV detects automatically the cameras installed in the network. AX-TV supports IP cameras with 4:3 and 16:9 image format, MJPEG or H.264 compression, and different resolutions. Whenever the camera supports it, the device can show images of a camera in HDTV 1280x720 pixels resolution. Otherwise AX-TV will re-scale the image to fill in the screen.

In quads of multiple viewers, AX-TV will only ask the cameras for the displayed resolution in order to optimize bandwidth usage. In addition, for very narrow bandwidths the maximum resolution of the cameras can be limited by editing their corresponding profiles from the setup menu.
